AMN doesnt hold an industry event so we are not threatened directly, I was referring to ad:tech being threatened by other performance marketing conferences that result in a higher turn out all round, from my point of view the publications you mentioned are biased towards an agency view point, it also depends on what you call 'stimulating content' not to disrespect, but those engaed heavily the performance industry have seen all this before and it's nothing new, for some however it is a new experience and it will attrack a market and may do well..."the event" needed to express everything at the conference, not in these so called articles or at the afterparty for that matter.

I agree with your point that the afterparty consolidated the networking after the first day, however I saw no future networking to be done after the initial day (as it was so small)...that being my main point, all was acheived in one day....therefore Ad Tech is losing the impotence to hold a successful 2 day conference and cannot be seen in the same league as CeBit.

Other events in the digital marketing industry are clearly feeling threatened by ad:tech to write reports like this one, as over the past few years it's gone from strength to strength. I was at ad:tech last week and ‘dull’ isn’t a word I’d use. I don’t suppose you saw any of the articles in industry publications like mUmbrella, AdNews and B&T (to name a few) - there was a notable level of intelligent and stimulating content at the event. Personally, I thought the afterparty made completely sense as it gave the opportunity to consolidate your networking the day after. It was great to see an event planned from the perspective of the delegate - the highlight of my working calendar.

Great move by Clixgalore, as RSL is one of the best performing % sales campaigns that I've seen. Should do well for them!
